LE HUSARD

LE HUSSARD WAS A FRENCH WARSHIP THAT SET A NEW BENCHMARK FOR SMALL, FAST SHIPS IN THE AGE OF SAIL. LE HUSSARD WAS BUILT IN 1848, SHE HAD 2 ROTATING CANNONS THAT GAVE HER THE ADVANTAGE OF ENGAGING ENEMY SHIPS WITHOUT HAVING TO MANEUVER FOR POSITION TO FIRE

LE HUSSARD WAS A FORERUNNER OF LATER SHIPS THAT MOUNTED GUNS IN ROTATING TURRETS.
