THESES BRITISH SEAGULL OUTBOARD ENGINES WERE FULLY RESTORED BY BARRY WATSON AND TAKE PRIDE OF PLACE IN OUR COLLECTION.
THE FIRST SEAGULL OUTBOARDS WERE MADE IN 1931 BY JOHN MARSTON LTD. THE MANUFACTURE OF SUNBEAM MOTOR CYCLES, CARS AND BICYCLES. THEY WERE SOLD AS "MARSTON SEAGULLS".

P4 2HP MARINE ENGINE
THE P4 SUPERCEDED THE P3 IN 1928, AND IN1930 THE MARINE VARIANT WAS INTRODUCED, AND WAS SOLD IN CONSIDERABLE NUMBERS FOR FITTING IN SMALL YACHTS AND OTHER PLEASURE BOATS. IN AROUND 1935/1936 THE P4 WAS JOINED BY THE LARGER BORE P5 (268 cc) AND TWIN-CYLINDER OVERP55 (535 cc). WHILE THE P4 WAS MADE UNTIL THE WAR 1939. THE P5 and P55 CONTINUED IN PRODUCTION FOR 30 YEARS.
