QUEEN VICTORIA'S HAIR
This painting is by the skipper of the Queen's racing yacht VICTORIA in 1847
His sister was a lady in waiting to the Queen and one of her duties was to cut Queen Victoria's hair. She gave some strands to her brother who made the plait that can be seen in the bottom left hand corner of the painting.
The painting was presented to Capt. David McFall, by the granddaughter aged 95 in 1985
